News Are world climate summits bearing any fruits on climate change?

If I should be honest, I doubt there is any positive results so far.

They fill the air with exhaust fumes flying in their jets to get to these conferences. They are merely debating societies much like the United Nations...totally useless.

In my opinion those summits are just another avenue to spend money that could have been channeled into something more tangible, none of those world leaders who attend actually knows much about climate, so how can they come up with any solution?
